CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

As a valued guest of The Sands hotel, we appreciate your loyalty and the trust you place in us as your hotel of choice. Recognizing the ongoing and increased uncertainty that coronavirus (COVID-19) is causing around the world, our highest priority is the health and wellbeing of our guests and associates. With that in mind we wanted to update you on the actions we have taken in response to the outbreak.

Cancellation policy & booking flexibility

We understand flexibility is key during uncertain times and that’s why we’re adjusting our cancellation policies. For reservations with stay dates through April 30, 2020, if you have an existing booking for the upcoming weeks, and you need to cancel, the total sum that you have already paid will be credited as a Future Travel Credit, to be used towards a new stay at The Sands Hotel one year from your original arrival date in the future. 

In this environment, we continue to monitor the situation and will revisit this policy as needed. For bookings made through a travel agent or online booking platform (i.e., Booking.com, Expedia, etc.), please contact them directly. We have advised these companies of our cancellation policy and you should refer to their terms and conditions.
